Location

The most popular gateway cities for Tuscany include Venice, Florence, Milan (the Lakes or possibly the Cinque Terre), and Rome. For example, you can arrive in Venice and stay two nights before moving to our Relais property. And after RVP, you can easily explore Rome before flying home from the Rome airport.

Relais Villa Petrischio, via del Petrischio, 25 – Farneta (AR) looks over the entire Valdichiana valley, and is located 15 km/9 miles to the southwest of Cortona. To get a better idea of this location, consider half way between Florence and Rome, and just to the east of the A-1 toward Cortona. Cortona is easily reached by taxi or your own rental car. Florence is just over an hour by car, but it is best that you take the train to avoid the city parking and traffic problems.

Chianti Hill Towns – Gaiole (50 minutes drive); and Radda (60).

Northeastern Tuscany – Arezzo (20 minutes drive); and Lucignano (15).
Northern Umbria – Assisi (60 minutes drive); Gubbio (90); Perugia (55); and Deruta (70).
